However, that’s not all, because it also causes type-2 diabetes, according to research made by the Breast Cancer Fund. Canned tomatoes are especially dangerous because of their high levels of acidity. Acidity causes BPA to leach from the lining of the can into the food. As unbelievable as it sounds, it’s true.
